I\u2019ve considered many spare tyre solutions from a full sized spare to a space saver to carrying a tyre only (not on a rim) and using the inside for storage, but as we\u2019re going for 6 weeks, we\u2019ll need all the space we can get so it was a decision of \u2018what if\u2019 we get a flat tyre, when did we get a flat last on any of our cars, and do we have a contingency plan now. And this was the best all round solution. It cost me $20 at a typical spare parts shop & I have 3 of these PLUS a tyre repair kit to fix a plug a tyre manually myself and an air compressor. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
